I’ve been using vbulletin almost exclusively my whole life. Every main forum I posted on, and my forum I started in 2008 have all been vbulletin, I’ve rarely used anything else for that long and I’ve never used punbb I don’t think ever. Here I am in 2012, just started using punbb, and I think it’s the greatest thing ever. I hate everything about vbulletin because while it offers…. private messages as part of the default software WHICH I FIND SO ODD THAT PUNBB DOESN’T JUST INCLUDE THAT I HAVE TO TYPE THIS PART IN CAPITAL LETTERS. IF THIS PART ISN’T IN CAPITAL LETTERS THEN THIS WEBSITE CHANGED IT ON ME WHY WOULD FORUM SOFTWARE NOT COME WITH PRIVATE MESSAGING WHY IS IT AN EXTRA DOWNLOADED PLUGIN FOR PUNBB HOLY COW. Wait what I’m saying is I hate vbulletin for it’s bloatware, like mandatory FACEBOOK EVERYWHERE, mandatory 900,000 options I Don’t Know Anything About, etc. I love punbb because it might come empty but, well it also destroys vbulletin at this too, adding things literally triggers the nerves in my hands to feel like I’ve snapped a simple lego or puzzle piece together. A little click. It’s that easy. Oh and smf and phpbb are also horrible, they were so bad I just couldn’t use them more than maybe a couple months. Punbb is the best forum software.
